I was still at school and went with some school mates. The light show was amazing, but would seem very tame by today’s standards. I particularly remember the blazing white lights blinding us when the scream occurs in ‘Careful with that Axe, Eugene’. A lot of the songs from Dark Side of the Moon were played. The album wasn’t released until 1 March 1973 – Pink Floyd previewed a lot of their albums before release.

I later found out that the gig I saw was the day after the album was performed to the press (although it seems it was premiered in Brighton on January 20th.
